21 | Graduation Ceremony

Updated: Dec 16, 2021

In 2021, AIC held it’s 2nd graduation ceremony where we said farewell to our 12th graders. The details made this occasion special, just as the handmade graduation bags, the self-written poems in English and Hungarian, an inspiring farewell speech, unique certificates, T-shirts and the music which followed through the whole event. The President and the Principal handed roses and certificates to the students personally.

AIC held its second graduation ceremony for the 12th-grade students of the International High School Program (2016-2021) on Monday (15.06.2021). This year was full of isolation for many, therefore we were extremely happy to be able to organize this event. It wasn't just for our graduates, but for all of us - our teachers, Student Center members, the parents, and all the other colleagues in Avicenna. Even though the event was based on the traditional Hungarian "ballagás", it was a little more. Our respected President and Principal handed the flowers personally to the graduates, along with our own Certificates and T-shirts during the Handover Ceremony. Our students in the 11th grade carefully designed and created handmade bags for our 12th graders. AIC president Dr. Shahrokh MirzaHosseini opened the ceremony personally. We are used to hearing inspiring and really enjoyable speeches from him, and it wasn't any different this time. He remembered back to the times when he used to work in a hospital. Doctors always work extremely hard, we are especially aware of that now. His speech was about how we can reach our dreams and goals by being not just hardworking but also clever. After the presidential opening, 2 talented students (Zoltán Mészáros and Csenge Szabó) performed from the 11th grade. These students wrote poems themselves in English and Hungarian language. Their performance was really touching and elevated the whole event. Last but not least, we heard a speech from a graduate (Rebeka Csáky). It was the cherry on top, a long but splendid speech, which inspires us and the younger students to strive for better - to be better.
This is AIC - we dream, and we DO.
